Teen Wilderness Leadership School: Backpacking- RMNP

Description: This program is for all teens interested in:

No Experience Necessary.

Some personal gear is required.

We will hike to different locations throughout the week to experience various locations and skill opportunities. All climbing gear is included.

Dates	June 25-30, 2023
Location	This trip occurs by use of commercial permit in Rocky Mountain National Park or temporary use permit ion US National Forest lands.
Gear	A list of personal gear will be provided upon registration. – Major items required but are not limited to: a 50L backpack, 40 degree sleeping, sleeping pad, hiking shoes/boots, and personal clothing, rain/wind gear. Group items such as tents, cookware, stoves, bear cans, etc, will be provided.
Physical Level	This program requires a high degree of physical fitness and pre-course conditioning. A fitness log is required for this course. Daytime hiking maybe include 6-9 hrs of trail time per day. Students can expect to carry backpacks with 35-45 lbs of weight. Travel is over uneven surfaces with on-trail and off-trail travel required. Rock, dirt, snow, ice, and river crossings may occur on this program.
