Teen Wilderness Leadership School: Rock Climbing
For: 14-17 year old students
Dates: June 12-16, 2023
Duration: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Golden, CO and surrounding areas
Description: This program is for all teens interested in:
- a comprehensive rock climbing training
- seasonal jobs or part-time work
- career path.
No prior climbing experience is required.
Prerequisite: Wilderness First Aid and Adult CPR/AED Certification.
We will move to five different locations throughout the week to experience various terrain and movement opportunities. All climbing gear is included.
Day #1: Fundamentals of Climbing Gear and Climbing Skills
Day #2: Climbing Movement and Rappel #1
Day#3: Climbing Anchors: Trad & Sport Anchors
Day #4: Fundamentals of Rappelling
Day #5: Lead Climbing
