This is the entry level course for anyone looking to enter the outdoor field as a climbing wall instructor or summer camp climbing wall instructor. The AMGA CWI Curriculum focuses on the best practices for skills instruction, group management, climber assist skills below, and overall professionalism and program risk management.

This course is for every individual who:

  • regularly climbs in a climbing wall environment
  • currently over 18 years old
  • has a year of indoor climbing experience
  • can climb at least 5.8 on top rope
